Lakewood Monday the 15th of April
Sunshine yesterday for the first time a beautiful day. Attended church in the morning. In the afternoon over 40 of us hired big cars and drove 20 miles to Asbury Park spending three hours on the beach. Had supper in a café there. Lovely and warm today, hope to have a long walk. The nearest point on the beach is ten miles away. We may walk it someday.
