January 14th. Took the subway to the arch de Triumph and walked back down the Champs Elysees of captured Hun guns and a few planes and tanks to be seen. The Place de la Concord filled with them. Returned Gottiebs call, but found I rather expected that he had returned home. Visited Napoleon's tomb. Attended "Zig Zag" in the evening-a very good musical comedy.
